Spam Filters to fight Email Spam
Over 86% of all internet traffic today is email. This might not sound so bad, until we change that statement just a little. Let's put in the word "unwanted".
OVER 86% OF ALL INTERNET TRAFFIC TODAY IS UNWANTED EMAIL
There, much more accurate.
The truth is that a great deal of the bandwidth used on the Internet is wasted, useless, unwanted email. Not only
is this email unwanted, but the senders go to great lengths to get it to you. This email fills your inbox, possibly
filling your email account (causing you to lose email you actually want) and causing you to waste countless hours each year sorting and deleting this junk.
How do you remove spammy email? You filter it. Email Filters are a set of rules to prevent unwanted spam from getting into your inbox. Spam filters are often very effective, but their effectiveness depends on the vendor you buy your software from, how often they update it, and how determined the spammer is to get his message to you.
We've included a list of vendors that provide Spam Filtering software to help you filter out the garbage, you can check them out here.
Remember, there are a lot of people out there eager to take your time and make a fast dollar. They don't care about your time, feelings or preferences. Do what you need to in order to protect yourself.
Use SPAM FILTERS or EMAIL FILTERS or whatever you want to call them, but protect yourself!
